Smash The Cake

Hi again, everyone!

I’m sure all parents have a hard time time facing the fact that little baby is already a whole year old. But you know what 1-year-old birthdays mean? Cake. And smashing cakes, of course!

Before I get to the adorable and awesome photos I know you came here for, I have to share pictures from baby Perry's previous newborn session. I cannot believe how fast the time has gone! He was a super cute little pudding when he came to meet me. I think that sometimes mums can worry that if baby doesnt sleep the session won't go well, but honestly this is nothing to worry about.

For me the reason why I photograph babies a sleep is a couple of reasons and it to do with safety! I cant stress enough that your baby's safety is my number one priority. If they are kicking about its not safe to put them in a prop or tummy position. I also aim to get some lovely shots of babe awake also too! Gosh, those cute eyes when they open is such a treat to see! I have to capture that too!

And that, my friends, brings us to his 1year smash the cake photos.

Scroll down and see how the super cute perry has change so much in just one year! He was so lovely to see all smiley and happy!! So for Perry's Smash we went with a traditional mix of blue colours , cream backdrop and some grey and rustic bunting to pull his portraits all together! With all sessions, I like to start of with capturing baby in a relaxed fresh portrait. See below, and then I will bring out the cake, and this is where the level of fun ramps up!!! The smashing commence lol!!!

As you can see, baby Perry had thoroughly enjoyed and had quite a bit of fun at his smash the cake session. Who wouldn't, am I right? / You would, too!
