I know from experience that taking pictures of newborn babies can take time. I allow around three hours for each session so that your baby is always comfortable. Sessions are baby-led, so there will always be time to take breaks to feed and change your baby if needed. I am flexible so we can get the best pictures and create some beautiful memories.

 

Newborn sessions are best held up to three weeks old, this is a great time to capture those beautiful “sleepy moments” and also those cute “windy smiles”. Babies are also easier to pose at this time, as they still like to curl up as if they are in Mummy’s womb.

You will need to book your session in advance, and we can work out what is the best date based on your due date. Every photographer has their own style and favourite poses; I think babies look at their sweetest in natural poses. Bookings are flexible, so if your baby has arrived and you have not yet booked a photography session please still get in touch there’s still time.

I know that committing to buying a photography session and package may seem daunting; I can't imagine paying upfront for a big purchase without seeing it first. 

 

For this reason, I do not charge you for anything upfront; there are no hidden costs. You only buy the images you love! No hard sell.

I only ask that you pay a £99 deposit to secure your session date. Then the £99 is deducted from any package and wall art you may like to purchase after seeing your final collection of images.

 

If for any reason you are truly unhappy with my service I am happy to refund you your deposit.

    This is a compacted session that's captures the cute details and baby will be wrapped for the majority of this session.

    • Use of props, blankets, and headwear

    • Use of props blankets and headwear.

    • This session can include sibling and parent shots.

    • 10 high-resolution images as a digital download.

    • 10 matching 7x5 mounted prints in a presentation box.

    This session is a full session using a selection of props and different setups, we will also create some super cute poses on the bean bag. We will capture any sibling during this session as well as capturing parent shots.

    • £50 towards a baby session.

    This session is a full session using a selection of props and different setups, we will also create some super cute poses on the bean bag. We will capture any sibling during this session as well as capturing parent shots.

Note: Your images will go through a quality controlled selection process. A final gallery of 25 images (subject to T+Cs) will be individually edited using industry-standard software and selection of editing techniques to further enhance your photos to create stunning portraits of your beautiful baby.

Booking a newborn session couldn’t be any easier, we will book your due date in the diary and confirm when the actual session date when the baby arrives. I recommend booking your session in around your 20-week scan.

Frequently asked questions

When should I book my session?

As long as you and your baby are in good health and have passed the 20-week scan, you can go right ahead and book your newborn baby photography session. I recommend booking at this early date as it gives you time to think about and prepare for professional photography. I make tentative bookings that are based on your due date and arrival home with your bundle of joy so you don’t have to worry if there need to be changes or adjustments to our sessions. Whenever you’re ready to go ahead, we can discuss all the details and arrange an appropriate day for your little one’s time in the spotlight.



Where will the session take place, do I need to prepare anything?

I come to your home, with me I will bring a fully functioning studio set up will all the equipment needed. Each session is uniquely styled for your baby, through the use of props, blankets and head wear. Each setup is created to reflect your colour preferences, creating timeless images for you to treasure. I will bring all this with me on the day. So you can sit back and relax. This part is easy, as many of the items used during sessions are everyday items your baby uses or plays with. For example, your sweetheart’s first teddy, blanket etc, are very welcome at the session and I will try my best to incorporate them in the photos.



How old should my baby be for the photoshoot?

Newborn photography sessions are best in the first three weeks of the babies life. The reason for this is pretty cute as the baby is still accustomed to the womb position. This can result in adorable baby portraits you won’t be able to get enough of. Newborn sessions are up to three hours long, this is so we can take breaks if baby need too. However, I will never turn away an older baby for a newborn for a session. I am very experienced in photographing older babies and can still create wonderful images for you, please still get in touch.



What time will you arrive on the day?

Sessions begin at 10 am and lasts up to 3 hours per shoot. With newborn photography sessions, not only are you getting a photographer who devotes quality time and energy to each project, but there is plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, nappy changes, as well as changes of props and blankets.



Can we have family pictures?

Yes, of course, you can. Please chose package two or three to include family and sibling shots. This will allow me more time to capture these images for you and change backdrops for your portraits.
